How to Heal

Healing can be a difficult thing to do, and to sustain, but it isn’t impossible. There is a method.

Here, a profound secret to healing is explained as to why we cannot heal and what we can do to bring healing about - sometimes in the most simple way.

Romani history of bells for protection

Romani Gypsy people, like a great many ancient people, tied bells to themselves, their children, and their animals to scare away evil influences. Some still do this with flocks and herds of animals today.

But when a law was passed in 16th-century Britain banning Gypsies from existing, an important question arose: Should they still use their bells to protect themselves from harmful otherworld influences? Or should they stop using them altogether - an act which might encourage the Gypsies to be noticed and which might attract harmful influences at the same time?

With our world being the way it has become, we have some serious questions to ask about the power behind our hidden - or even our forgotten - bell folklore.

Romani Keshalee folk!

In this absorbing dramatic tale, acted out by PJLee and his students, you are taken through a story told by the otherworldly Keshalee folk of the old Romani world: the beings who come up from their home in the lower world - accessed through a portal in a tree - into a most beautiful wood in the middle world, where humans dwell.

They mean business, their motive purely to cause chaos! Sometimes beautiful, sometimes funny, but always childlike, here they play games, steal babies and bicycles, get drunk, lark around, and openly show their fear of mobile telephones!

They appear, then disappear again through a large hole in the tree, and sadly, their presence is mostly now erased in our modern world. All is told through the spirited song, “We are lethal”, written by PJLee, available on the new Shamanic Threads album.  Filmed on location in a wood in Gower, South Wales, and in Nantwich, Cheshire.

With thanks to all who took part.
